The Easy Pickings books are essentially a hybrid of the Easy Guitar format and the Fingerstyle TAB format. Fans of these two artists often find that the fingerstyle books are too difficult, and the easy guitar books (which are usually 'strum and sing') are not the format they're looking for. In Easy Pickings, an accompaniment is provided in simple tablature, with the lyrics running below the staff. Chord charts above the staff show the guitarist how to finger the chord(s) that will be arpeggiated in that measure. (The chord charts, of course, can also be used for 'strum and sing.') Immediately below the staff, numbers are written out (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +) to indicate the beat counts. And, at the beginning of every song, the chord shapes used are shown on a chord chart and also in a photo. Easy Pickings: Dylan includes 17 of his greatest hits: Blowin' in the Wind, Mr. Tambourine Man, All Along the Watchtower, Lay Lady Lay, Forever Young, etc. ©2008, 48 pages.
